Just this past Sunday evening, I had a chance to attend my friend pastor’s ordination service. It reminded of my own ordination service few years ago and how nerve breaking the experience was…

Well… As I was listening thru. the ceremony of the ordination, one of speeches caught my attention more so than any others. It was from a very respected pastor who retired last year after 30 plus years of serving churches. It was encouragment speech to both to the pastor who is getting ordained and to the congregation.

He shared the most important 3 things for the pastors and the congregation. Coming from the person who has already gone thru. what I am going thru., I took every bit of 3 things that he shared for the pastors. And at the same time, I felt it would be helpful for me to share the 3 most impt. things for the congregation which should be applicable to all of you. He named it to be 3 P’s:

1. First is to consider your pastor to be Precious! Amen to that. Something that I cannot emphasize enough since I may portrayed as being conceited.^^ But coming from well respected and retired pastor like him, y’all should take it seriously… hehe.
2. Second is to Pray for your pastor! Yes! I need it all the way. The number one target for Satan is the pastors because Satan knows once pastors fall, the church falls as well. So please please pray for me.
3. Third is to Participate! The church cannot be run by a pastor. It is all about team work and that your participation is indispensible for the ministry.

Some of you, if not most of you, could have guessed these 3 P’s that are essential for God’s church… If so, let’s put them into actions!
